This is transformative coaching; we do not use the GROW model nor is this simply solution-orientated coaching. We want to grow the person, not deep-dive the topic or perspective they are stuck in. At the core of the model, we believe that humans are naturally creative, resourceful and whole; you have the answers, my job is to hold the space for you to find them.
The What
You can expect:
To hear much less of my voice than yours
For 90% of my communication to be questions
To be coached as a whole person, with values and a purpose, beyond your day to day work
To be held to your agenda; I may nudge you back to it if you get lost
To focus on action, not on the past
To make commitments, and be accountable for them
To get creative, to use embodiment and movement and to have fun doing so!
Do not expect:
To be given answers or advice
A therapy session
To speak the ‘Co-Active’ language in your first session; from saboteurs, to balance coaching, to process coaching, I will invite you learn alongside me
Our Mutual Commitment
In Co-Active, we talk about ‘Designing the Alliance’ - this is our unique contract that we will set at the beginning of the relationship and revisit in every session. You could design how you want me to hold you accountable, the tone for tough conversations, and then on one day, you could design with me that you are feeling under the weather, and then the coaching energy will meet you where you are for that session.
As a minimum:
What I ask from you:
Bring an open mind and a willingness to play (including movement!)
Be willing to get uncomfortable; this is where the growth happens
Show up, on time, as planned - I have a 2 strike rule and then we will end the relationship
What I will give to you:
100% of my focus and energy during the session
A prompt start and finish to each session, honoring the agreed time commitment
Honesty, with no judgment
Practicalities
Confidentiality
All sessions are 100% confidential. If you are sponsored by your workplace, I cannot share anything with your employer, however, you are free to share as you wish.
Contract
We will sign a coaching agreement that outlines frequency, cost, duration and cancellation terms.
Payment
Payment is determined according to relationship type (individual or corporate), location (local or international), and indiivdual circumstance; I want to democratize coaching.
